Improve Your Child's Sleep:
A Relationship Health Approach

Imagine being able to sit back and relax... either at the end of the day or in the middle of it because your child has settled to sleep peacefully without a fuss

... imagine a daily predictable moment for yourself or to share with your partner or older children ...

Imagine that your child sleeps happily in her room ... and wakes up refreshed, content for the rest of the day and ready for a good night  the next evening

That is what good sleep patterns offer.

Hi I'm Dr Cathy Betoin, author of this site and developer of the I Matter Relationship Health Approach

In my 30+ years of clinical practice with children and families it became very very clear how critical sleep was to current and longer term outcomes and just how often it was linked to other concerns such as anxiety and challenging behaviour and difficulties getting on with others.

Improve Your Child's Sleep is a short guide that helps you take important steps to improve relationship health and wellbeing for the who family.   We help you develop an approach that strengthens well-being

Sleep is so important that we need to ensure that everyone can get the support and advice that they need to get things onto a good footing.

Improve Your Child's Sleep is a guide that will give you the understanding and tools to do just that.

Is Improve Your Child's Sleep for you?

Yes if your child doesn't sleep enough and therefore is often cranky during the day.
If settling for sleep or self soothing is a struggle for your child - and for you.
If your child often wakes early and comes in to disturb you
If your child takes short broken sleep only.
If your child suddenly refuses to sleep.
If your child sleeps too much during the day and too little at night.
If your younger child goes down for the night easily but not for naps.

We generally talk about sleep as if it is solely an individual question.   However when we start to see sleep as closely linked with relationship health then the way forward opens to some new and helpful insights.
