I Matter First Steps Course
Introducing Relationship Health

When everything is coming at you fast, then it is challenging to know what you should focus on.

The I Matter First Steps Course offers a gentle taster of I Matter Thinking that will help you see many situations differently.

Is the I Matter First Steps Course for you?

Yes if you know that something is off track with your  child but you are unclear what to do.
If you have taken your child to lots of appointments only to be told there is nothing wrong.
If you keep feeling that no-one believes you
If you know that people outside your home would not believe what sometimes happens
If you are determined to find a way forward and are willing to do the work that is needed
If you know that though things are really difficult your child wants things to change too
....

We generally talk about anxious and challenging behaviour as if it is solely an issue in the child.   However when we start to see anxious and challenging behaviour as closely linked with relationship health then the way forward opens to some new and helpful insights.

In my 30+ years of clinical practice with children and families it became very very clear that relationship health was often the elephant in the room.  Yet it was so key to current and longer term outcomes.

Relationship Health is so important that we need to ensure that everyone can get the support and advice that they need to get things onto a good footing.

The First Steps Course offers an introduction to some really important issues and questions.

The First Steps Course
is a carefully structured online course with clear and practical teaching to get you started on understanding more clearly what is happening.

Very surprisingly, in the area of adult and child well-being, relationship health and the skills involved in relationships are a key central issue that too often gets overlooked in the context of professional consultations about children's mental health and well-being.

Instead a great deal of time and energy and resources gets focussed on trying to establish whether there are problems or disorders in the individual child or adult.

The problem with the hunt for disorders or problems in the individual child is that in overlooking some very important details in the relationship itself. this hunt can often takes us away from where we want and need to go.

If you get interested in learning more the First Steps Course can be followed by the I Matter Intensive and the I Matter Extended Journey
